Gwen Stefani is so famed for her red lip and winged eyeliner make-up combo, that when she stepped out at the Billboard Music Awards sporting a completely different make-up look recently, the internet lost its mind. No one could believe that a famous person would ever consciously choose to wear less makeup, let alone one of the world's most beloved pop stars.

One Twitter user so totally couldn't deal with the new look that she felt the need to Photoshop Gwen's more traditional makeup over the top. Although I hate to admit it, the Gwen with red lips and winged liner simply looks more… Gwen?

If Gwenny Gwen Gwen can cause such a stir simply by swapping her lipstick for a more natural shade, then I'd hate to think what would happen if she dared to air her face in public without any slap on at all.
